MitzvahLife
Privacy Policy
Last updated: [DATE]
The short version: Your mitzvah data lives on your own device. We don't sell your data, we don't show ads, and we don't track you across the web. If you join the waitlist or create an account, we use your email only to talk to you about MitzvahLife.
⚠️ This is a plain-language template to get you started — not legal advice. Before collecting payments or launching publicly, have a lawyer review it and fill in every [BRACKETED] field. Requirements differ by country (GDPR in the EU, CCPA in California, etc.).
Who we are
MitzvahLife ("we", "us") is operated by [YOUR NAME / ENTITY]. You can reach us at [contact@themitzvahlife.com].
What we collect
- Your mitzvah activity (which mitzvos you log, streaks, levels, yahrtzeits, refuah names, teams) is stored locally on your device in your browser. In the current version it does not leave your device unless you choose to export it.
- Email address — only if you join the waitlist or (in a future version) create an account.
- Basic, privacy-respecting analytics — aggregate, anonymous usage (e.g., page views) via [Plausible / Umami / Fathom]. No cookies, no cross-site tracking, no advertising pixels.
What we do NOT do
- We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information — ever.
- We do not show advertising.
- We do not use advertising trackers (no Meta Pixel, no Google Ads tracking).
How we use your email
To send you launch updates, occasional chizuk, and product news. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time. We use [Mailchimp / ConvertKit / Beehiiv] to manage our list.
Payments (future)
If and when paid plans or sponsorships launch, payments are processed by [Stripe]. We never see or store your full card details — the payment processor handles that securely under their own privacy terms.
Your choices & rights
- Export or delete all your on-device data anytime from the app's Settings.
- Unsubscribe from emails using the link in any message.
- Request access to or deletion of any personal data we hold by emailing [contact@themitzvahlife.com].
Children
MitzvahLife is intended for general audiences. If it is used by children (for example in a school or youth-group challenge), we ask that a parent, teacher, or guardian set it up and supervise. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate consent.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product grows. We'll post the new date at the top and, for material changes, notify our email list.
